Quick Look: Spyderco Jason Breeden Designed Rescue

Jason Breeden is the guy who designed Spyderco's 'Captain' model, that's all I know, but this bad boy looks pretty darn interesting, and should be out some time this year.

Looks like a good utility EDC to me. I'm thinkin about picking up a Spyderco of some sort in the near future. I haven't seen this one yet though.

I'm really liking Spydie's UK Pen knives as well, do a search on knifecenter, pretty neat for little slipjoint utility folders....

I had to pass on the Spyderco this time around; ordered a BM3550 this morning. Always wanted one. Not as cool or pretty as the 690, but it'll see some tough use.

ahhh yeeah! that's the Mel Pardue auto isn't it?! Very nice choice. My EDC's have been my black coated combo edge BM mini Barrage (585), the assisted action is buttery smooth...or the Spyderco Tenacious, made in China but feels like a 3/4th size Spyderco Military, and performs like one too. I've always preferred Benchmade in general. They just have that overall track record of excellence that so many other companies aren't consistent with (Kershaw, Gerber etc)

Yup, it's the Pardue auto. It's got the satin blade which I like, but not as much as the black coated; but for the price, I'll take it! I was looking at the Spyderco Tenacious, Police, and Military, but really wanted an auto. The 3550 has been on my list for years though, so I had to have it. I'm going to start a gun/knife pr0n post with this one! I don't have enough guns or knives to keep it going for long on my own, so I'll have to outsource after awhile.
